“Us, we, our” refers to Ignite Fitness PTY trading as Ignite Fitness, which operates this website and the application known as “Ignite Fitness”.

“You, your” refers to any person who accesses any one of our platforms, whether you are a registered user of the application.   

“platform/s” refers to this website, and any related website or application.

“POPI” refers to the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013.

When you access our website or make use of any services provided, we may collect certain personal information about you.

The personal information we collect about you may include but is not limited to:

  • Your telephone number
  • Your date of birth
  • Your Identity number
  • Your gender
  • Your email address
  • Your online identifiers

We will not use or share your information with anyone except in accordance with POPI and as set out in this privacy policy and/or our terms and conditions of use.

We will retain your information for as long as it is necessary to carry out the terms of your membership agreement with us or for as long as it is required for the conducting of statistical analysis.

CHILDREN

We do not knowingly collect personal information about persons under the age of 18. (“children”).  If you are under the age of 18 years, you must have permission from your parent or guardian before you use any of our services or give us your personal information. If we are unable to confirm that you have your parent or guardians’ consent, you may not use our services. To confirm your parent or guardian’s consent we may ask you to provide us with their contact details.

DISCLOSING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

Your personal information will be made available to authorised staff and third-party operators, who act in terms of a written mandate, and who will process your information only for the purposes of performing the terms of your membership agreement and making our services available to you. You hereby consent to the sharing of that information.

We will also disclose your personal information if required to do so by law or subpoena. Some of the third-party operators with whom your information is shared may be outside the borders of South Africa. We require their services to perform the terms of your membership agreement, and by accessing any of our platforms, you consent to the transferring of personal information outside the borders of South Africa.

YOUR RIGHTS

You have the right to access your personal information, to change it, amend and control it.

You may raise objections against us processing your personal information for marketing purposes. 

You have the right to ask that we stop processing your personal information when it is no longer required for the performance of your subscription agreement with us.
